Royal Futura 800 Typewriter
The Royal Futura 800 Typewriter was introduced in the late 1950’s and was world renowned as the most handy, contemporary and resourceful typewriter. It has a majority of the functions that any of the office machines have with many radiant features such as an exclusive keyboard slope that provides finger- balanced touch and makes typing comfortable and relaxing. It also has a magic column set button that allows users to set columns with ease. This one-of-a-kind retro model is welded in steel constructions and was produced in 6 colors.
In spite of having a quality gap for a while when the Royals had to shift their factory from Hartford, Connecticut to Sunshine, Missouri, they were able to mend it by 1960 and maintained consistency thereon even after the production of the Safari in 1962.
A fascinating thing to be noticed is that the most recent patent number among all the others that are printed on the underside, is for the Futura’s design. In comparison to the Sabre/890/990/ Custom II/ Custom III/ Custom IV etc. there is a huge amount of similarity in the pater of the line.
