Schmid Kreglinger, a part of Schmid International, is a Japanese company that specializes in porcelain dinnerware. Its products include the fine art porcelain line ‘Kelco’ made particularly for the European, British and Western American markets. This porcelain tableware line was very popular in the 1960s and has been featured prominently in international exhibitions. It has also found a place in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Ceramic Art, Gifu, Japan.
Many designers, including the Los Angeles-based La Gardo Tackett who helped create the ‘Forma’ line of dinnerware, have worked with the company over the years.
