Ichiko Kogyo Co.
Ichiko was started in Tokyo in the year 1950. It was a small toy producing company that made a good range of tinplate toys. The company stopped the production of its tinplate toys in 1970’s even though the company still exists.
In todays time their tin cars are extremely collectibles. Their toys are known for being well built. Some of the toys built were battery run and some others were friction operated. Ichiko cars if found in mint condition can be very valuable. In 2013, an Ichiko space toy that was battery operated was sold for a whooping $31,100.
